The timing of strength training varies by individual. Morning lifters report better adherence; evening trainers often have access to fuller gyms. Consistency beats perfection. Even 20 minutes twice weekly delivers measurable results within four to six weeks.

Recovery becomes more important with age. Adequate protein intake, 7 to 9 hours of sleep, and rest days between intense sessions support muscle growth. Adults over 40 need roughly 1.2 to 2.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight daily.
