This trend is being sold as inevitable. It deserves more skepticism than it is getting.
Don't misunderstand. The replication problem is real. When researchers try to reproduce published studies, they often can't. Some estimates suggest roughly half of published findings don't hold up under repeat testing. That's genuinely concerning, especially for people making health decisions based on research headlines.
But the way this crisis is being framed in popular commentary treats it like a terminal diagnosis for science itself. The subtext: why bother trusting research at all? This defeatist stance isn't just intellectually lazy. It's actively unhelpful.

These are concrete improvements. They work.
