The article describes a fictional scenario involving "Pope Leo XIV," a pontiff who does not exist. The Catholic Church has never had a Pope Leo XIV. The current papal lineage ended with Pope John Paul II in 2005, followed by Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. Additionally, the article includes a fabricated Getty Images photo credit dated October 13, 2026, which is a future date.
